This incredible and isolated circular trek skirts around the 8th greatest mountain on the planet, the awesome Mount Manaslu (8,163 m). We followed the magnificent Buri Gandaki River as it narrows into an amazing canyon, going through small towns set down on the valley sides. Ultimately the canyon opens out into alpine meadows which are lived in by a clusters of Tibetan neighborhoods below Manaslu’s north face. Crossing the Larkya Pass, at 5160 m, we see the snow-capped peaks of Himalchuli, Manaslu, Cheo Himal and Himlung Himal, prior to coming down through forest to join up with the primary Annapurna Circuit path.
Here are some photos from the trek. I will try and expand upon this at a later date.
